What makes a family? What binds it together and keeps it strong?

Somewhere in this video we believe that like us you, too, will find the answer.

The onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic is creating havoc in our lives. The speed with which it is affecting us all makes us realize how fragile society really is and how drastic it can change. Suddenly we are plagued with sickness and death; parents and children taken from us, friends and family we thought would be with us forever never to be seen again. And the body count is still expected to rise.

Life is so precious, so fleeting. Smiles, hugs, laughter… Time spent with people you care about is truly priceless.

This video features 6 people who had been working separately in different projects for several months in a multimedia lab. Together with a crew of 2 videographers and this writer, they gather together one afternoon to assemble our toy products 4DPocket’s Cardboard Toy MY HOUSE and MY KITCHEN for one, beautiful baby girl.

Aside from the cameras of the videographers and one smart phone dedicated to take extra footage, for a little over a couple of hours all 6 people put down their gadgets to get on the task. And surprise, surprise! They tease and banter, argue and laugh. They become creative, inventive. They fold, assemble and decorate. They play. And they do it all as one.

Suddenly, what is just another project becomes more. It becomes real. In just a short while, work mates become friends. They get to know each other, bond deeply, become family.

The video was made before the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Watching it gives us a warm fuzzy feeling, knowing it had succeeded far beyond what was expected and bonded us together in ways we did not even consider possible. And it gives us pleasure to share it with you now.
